Ray is a Vietnam War veteran himself and should know a good combat book when he reads one. Ray served as Mission Operations NCOIC with the 1RR Company (Aviation) located in Cam Rahn Bay RVN in 1969. For his service in RVN Ray received the Air Medal with three Oak Leaf clusters and the Bronze Star.
